I have recently been helping to develop and fine tune the new National Inflammatory Bowel Disease Database Registry at the Royal College of Physicians, London. Already a phenomenal amount of work has already been put in to its development by Dr. Fraser Cummings and Dr. Stuart Bloom with Infoflex. The database looks promising and I am optimistic that it will revolutionise our routine management of IBD. Four hospitals in UK have been asked to pilot the project, and we are honoured at the Luton & Dunstable FT University Hospital to have been chosen as one of those first pilot sites. We hope to be testing out the new Database Registry by December 2012.
